Apprenticeship as process mechanic
for coating technology (m/f/d)

This training will make your life more colorful.

With optimal surface treatment, you ensure that our fan and drive systems not only look great, but above all are extremely robust, durable and resistant. You will learn what it takes for different paints, varnishes and other coating materials to achieve the desired effect on metal and plastic surfaces during your apprenticeship as a process mechanic for coating technology (m/f/d). In addition, the operation, monitoring and maintenance of all facilities and systems related to our innovative coating processes are part of your varied area of responsibility.

Tasks
This is what you can expect:

Before you start with the actual coating, you check the workpieces to be machined for their coatability. Once all requirements have been met, you will carry out the appropriate test procedures for liquid and powdered coating materials. You produce ready-to-use substance concentrations as well as solutions and mixtures independently. In order to ensure consistently high coating quality for all ebm-papst products and product components without exception, you will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining our coating systems.

  • Manual dexterity and interest in technical processes
  • Reasoning
  • Reliability, willingness to learn and ability to work in a team

Length of studies

3 years

Your apprenticeship lasts three years. It is not possible to shorten the training period.

Training Locations

Mulfingen

You will complete your apprenticeship at our headquarters in Mulfingen.

Vocational school location

Sindelfingen

You will complete your vocational school years in the form of block lessons at the Gottlieb-Daimer-Schule in Sindelfingen.

Training

After your training:

  • Technician (m/f/d), specializing in paint and varnish technology
  • Industrial foreman (m/f/d), specializing in paint
