In this apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering (m/f/d), you will learn how to install, monitor, predictively maintain and repair electrical operating, production and process systems. This means that with the skills you acquire during your training, you will ensure that our technology will continue to run smoothly in the future. If changes or extensions to systems have to be designed, your knowledge is also in demand. As part of your training, you will also deal with the programming, configuration and testing of systems and safety equipment. As an apprentice at the technology leader ebm-papst, you will of course always gain an insight into the latest digital technologies, processes and systems.

Tasks
This is what you can expect:

At ebm-papst, we attach great importance to an innovative working environment. Of course, also in our modernly equipped training workshop, where you will learn the profession of electronics technician for industrial engineering (m/f/d). In close cooperation with the other trainees, you will assemble and commission electrical and electronic systems, measure and analyze electrical functions and systems, program small controllers and microcontroller systems, and apply CAD software for the creation of printed circuit boards and 3D printed housings. In order to do justice to the digitalization of your chosen job profile, you will deal with topics such as IoT, predictive maintenance and augmented reality, etc.

  • Enjoyment of tinkering and experimenting
  • Technical understanding and dexterity in handling small components
  • Desire for digital tools and technologies
  • Prudent and diligent way of working

Length of studies

3.5 years

Your apprenticeship usually lasts three and a half years. However, it is also possible to shorten the training period to three years. Feel free to contact us about it!

Training Locations

Herbolzheim

You will complete your apprenticeship at our location in Herbolzheim. You will learn the first time in the training workshop. Towards the end, you'll pass through various technical departments.

Vocational school location

Fribourg

Your vocational school days will take you from Herbolzheim to the Walter Rathenau School in Freiburg.
